Don’t stay out late

I have a really creepy story to share. It might not be as creepy as some of the other stories here, but it still sends chills down my spine when I think about it.

My boyfriend at the time and I had just come back from clubbing and we were sitting in his car parked out the front of my house. We talked a lot for hours as we still were getting to know each other after recently starting dating. The car was off and the windows were up because it was cold outside.

It must have been hours that we were talking before I saw a man appear by his window. I froze. My eyes widend. My boyfriend caught on and looked at the man at the window, then back at me. He asked: Do you know him? I shook my head: no.

The car was unlocked and the keys were still in the ignition. The man was peering through the window looking at the keys in the ignition. His eyes were so glassy… and lost. The only light was from the street light near by.

I’m not sure if the man knew we were there, but I was frozen and I didn’t know what we’re going to do. Honestly, I thought we were going to be robbed at that moment.

My boyfriend suddenly opened the door into the man and yelled: What the fuck are you doing? The man got such a fright and ran. We both got out of the car. My boyfriend went and got a crowbar from his boot, then walked around to see where the man went. It was as if he vanished.

I work for the police force and the reason why I shudder is because that man was hidden behind one of the other cars in my driveway, and he had never left the area. The front door was also unlocked, because my parents left it unlocked for me as  I didn’t have my keys, and so I didn’t wake them when I returned home.

If it wasn’t for my boyfriend’s keys in his ignition, the man could have focused his attention on my house, and my sleeping family…

Let’s not meet scary man.
